I am an aesthete at work, therefore I love to work with people for whom color, structure and form are important elements of expressing themselves and their emotions. In the fashion sessions I highlight the advantages of outfits, details and accessories in such a way that the viewer has a feeling of what was expected and desired and that the given outfit is his favorite.
I work for fashion and accessory designers and companies that want to present their collections on models. I have experience working with models and children who require a completely different approach in planning the session. I also shoot items in lifestyle sessions without models. I arrange fashion sessions in a variety of outdoor locations, I also work in studios using a variety of professional lighting. My projects are being used for editorial catalogs, advertising materials, periodicals and social media.
Fashion photography is a carefully planned process, the schedule and communication are clearly defined and there is relatively little room for improvisation. But I also like those moments when the model becomes fully comfortable in the presented clothes and I catch the brand and its needs so the creative process begins. Fashion has always allowed to express the personality, to look for the “new” and to shoot in places where we wouldn’t normally think to stop and take a great photograph. Often fashion is an abstract, which is why I love this form of photography so much.
In fashion or beauty sessions I love to experiment with locations, accessories or frame and the manner of shooting. I like this stage of preparation, searching for models for the session and writing the script. Meetings with designers, producers or brand managers allow me to see through their eyes and understand their specific needs. Getting to know the values and meaning of a brand is always a great learning experience for me. It is very satisfying to see how the content delivered matches the brand’s message.
When I travel I always look for locations where a fashion shoot could potentially take place, I imagine the model in the light, the composition. Very often, when I receive a request to shoot outfits, materials or objects, I start to retrospect places and options for optimal use of the surroundings in my head. This significantly accelerates the creative process. I am a creative photographer, I am active on set, I advise how to expose the model or the object in the best possible way – I fully cooperate with the client in order to achieve the best results of the photoshoot.
Fashion sessions are a few hours long projects in the location or studio, but also often a several days long plans, in which I have to show outfits or products in a completely different way. I work worldwide, often organizing entire sessions in a remote location and basing on brefing I help to choose models, makeup artists and props delivering finished shots to the client.
